Have I mentioned just how hard completing this list was? It was hard. At one point I found myself listing things that I should do as opposed to what I wanted to do and I had to start all over. But I finished the list. I’m sure this isn’t the final list and that this one will be edited or changed over time. I’ve already started on some of these. I just need to get my act together and start posting pictures and such and keeping track of things. Basically, I need to get organized.

Of course, I don’t plan on doing these things alone. Chris groaned over numbers 12, 21, 37, 52, 78, 79, 52, and 98. Actually, he said that number 79 wasn’t fair because it was solely dependent on him. I told him to suck it. So, that’s the list. Some times I get a little panicky over all that stuff, that stuff that I want to do. That’s a lot of stuff. Guess I better get crackin’.

Why 54?
Wow! Nice list. I can help out with #’s 93, 90, & 33. I know our friend Holli & her Mom can things all the time, so she might be able to help you get started there. I’ve grown some pretty delicious veggies in the back yard if you need any pointers, & my friend Mike is the manager at the Habitat for Humanity Restore & can help out with the volunteer info. Let me know when you want to volunteer, because I want to as well & would feel way more comfortable with people I know around. Now i have to go make my list! We have many of the same things on our list I think. I want to fly an airplane as well. Go, Cindy, go!
Trapeze school is on my list, too. I’ve decided it will be my goal weight reward. There’s a school about an hour north of the city that’s a little cheaper than the one in the city, so I thought I’d make a day of it and go hiking as well.
Oh, and speaking of hiking….Oregon Trail is also on my list. I think maybe I’ll do that one this year. I have a hiking/camping enthusiast friend in Boise that I’ve got designs on visiting.
Love your list!!!!!
How awesome would it be to accomplish everything in the next twenty years then get to make a whole new list!!!
Sorry Katrina. That should be #52 as one that Chris groaned about. Or are you wondering why I want to do pottery? I wanted to do that way before mom ever did. In fact, I gave her the idea.
Jen, you are so in on the Habitat for Humanity thing. We should plan on trying to do that this Spring. Chrome, it would be pretty awesome to finish all that in 20yrs, but the thought of attempting it all and putting a finish by date on it sends me into panic attack mode.
No, I know why the pottery, I think that’s great, I wondered why he would groan at #54. Now I know. I would love to swing dance. I remember now when you talked about doing pottery quite some time ago, I had actually forgotten. You go girl, on all of the above. If we can do anything to help you achieve your goals, let us know, (scooter wise).
No pressure. I just got excited is all.
When you go hiking the Oregon Trail, I hope you’ll stop in to visit the Philip Foster Farm. Philip Foster settled the farm to manage the Barlow Road around Mt. Hood and greet emigrants arriving from Missouri. There are many hike-able parts of the trail around the Mountain, and our site gives people the opportunity to visit buildings and do activities from the era.

[...] I’m having a really hard time staying present in this moment. My brain keeps jumping ahead to things to come, plans for the next year and how to organize myself for all of it. I just can’t help myself. Last week I had a massage/healing with a wonderful lady named Jeana. It was a Groupon I’d purchased months and months ago, but due to scheduling she couldn’t get me in until Dec 6th. I say it’s a massage/healing because part of the session was spent talking about what’s causing the tension in my shoulders and the rest of the session was the actual massage to get rid of the tension in my shoulders. During the talking part of the session Jeana recommended that I make a list of twenty things that I enjoy doing or want to do and then get out there and do them. The idea was to do social things that would get me out and meeting new people, like take a class or volunteer or start teaching yoga again. These are things I had already started thinking about for next year, but it also made me think about the Life List. [...]
