So, this was probably funnier yesterday and the first round of the waffle description was better. I made Chris run through the whole spiel again because typing all that up would have been just too much work. The first time around, he fixated more on the sugar part of the description. He said they used beet sugar and I said “what’s that?”. Then he went on to say he had no idea, just that it was really big sugar.
This is a typical evening in our home.

Beet sugar….Chris is correct it can be larger like sea salt.
I’d venture to say most people don’t even know they are eating it vs pure cane.
It does differ in baking. Pure Cane is better.
But for sauces and jellies and all things when a thicker consistency is desired beet sugar is desirable.
Somewhere out there is also a sweet potato sugar!
Also if you are veggie….the processing of the sugar is most important because many use bone char to refine. Generally beet sugar does not use bone char.
Check the internet for a list of brands if you care.
Confectioners sugar is just cane sugar with cornstarch added.
And brown sugar has molasses added.
nyum nyum nyum nyum….we need to make that.
can’t find a better way to have a typical evening! sea sugar. heh heh heh.
