I found a place online that sets up collection of sports bar wrappers (Luna, Cliff) for donation programs for schools and companies. I tried to sign up but the program is full and they only do it in their state (WA). Do you think we'll ever get it here in this state?

You can take your old thermostat to Waste Management somewhere off of Portland (Check website). They also take paint and chemicals. You just have to prove you're an OKC resident.

I feel the same way! We switched our thermostat to one of those programable ones about 2 years ago. The old one is sitting here in the study because its got mercury in it and I don't know where to take it.
I read that Nike will recycle old shoes but there isn't a drop off place in Oklahoma. (of course) I could save a box of shoes and try to drop them off next time we are in Texas, but the store says if you have more than 10 pairs to call ahead because they might not can take that many! I could pay to ship them to Nike... but that just seems silly.
Its hard to try and be envorionmental here in OK!
