FORGOTTEN
10 01 2008Lately, Chris and I have been driving to work separately. It’s just easier because Chris doesn’t have to be there until 8:30 and I like to get to work earlier. Also, he has to stay until 5:00 and there are lots of times when I don’t. But yesterday we rode to work together because I had seminar that wouldn’t get out until 5:00.
I got back from seminar a little later then expected and I noticed that Chris hadn’t called and when I called him, the call didn’t go through. So I thought he must be in the parking garage. He immediately called me back laughing because he was at home. He forgot me. He searched all over our 800 square foot house for me and it was on the tip of his tongue to ask me where I was when he realized that we had ridden into work together.
I don’t think I’ve been forgotten since kindergarten.

At least you’re a big girl now and could call him. And hey, he didn’t really forget you–as soon as he got home he missed you and started looking for you!
He just forgot that you drove to work together.
One time my friend Lisa was forgotten at a PARK. Her dad was supposed to pick her up, and he just forgot. Till evening. He got in soooo much trouble with her mom/his wife!
HA HA HA! Oh, gah, were you mad? Even though it’s funny, I might have gotten mad anyway, depending on how my day had gone.
No, I wasn’t mad. I thought it was funny. I really liked the part where he searched for me. I mean, there’s not a lot of places for me to hide in our tiny house. Plus my car was there.
one word: doh!
Oh, that’s funny. I can imagine Chris searching under the bed, looking in cupboards, pulling back the shower curtain, etc.
Your brother did that one time a long time ago. That was before cell phones and I had to wait until he got home. He felt so bad.
