We live really close to an Air Force Base and it’s not uncommon to have those huge C-130 cargo planes fly over the house. Sometimes they fly so low it rattles our windows and makes the dog start howling. Late last night I was startled awake by a large booming sound. I grumbled a little and rolled over and went back to sleep. I thought it was just another airplane. It wasn’t. It was an EARTHQUAKE!
We heard about it on the news this morning. Our area had an earthquake that measured around 2.5 and 2.7 on the Richter scale. Apparently we had two earthquakes. The first one happened while we were out. It was the second, and biggest, earthquake that woke us up. Everything seems to be OK. No broken pipes or anything. What’s really weird is that Chris and I were just talking about earthquakes occurring in Oklahoma the day before.
Do do do do. Do do do do.

Holy crap!
Wow! I’m glad everything is OK. (Plus, I love that you just went back to sleep).
yeah, I just saw that on the news last night. My first thought was, “A 2.7? That’s nothing, man!”
Of course, I lived through the great quake of 2001 up in Seattle. I used to be more scared of earthquakes than tornados, but now I think they’re about the same. At least with tornados you get some warning. :/
Glad you guys are okay and nobody was hurt.
An earthquake in Oklahoma? I wish I was there to hear the local news stations freaking out. Oklahomans love weather, and I consider an earthquake weather.
what time was the first one
The first one was some where around 8:30 I think.
